A nine-year-old girl is extremely lucky not to have sustained serious injury after she fell an estimated four metres from a window in Abbotsford this evening.

The child injured her wrist and ankle when she fell from a window in a block of units on Hampden Road shortly before 6pm.

CareFlight’s rapid response helicopter landed at Campbell Park, about 1km from the scene.

NSW Ambulance paramedics were at the unit block treating the child when the medical team arrived.

She was transferred in a stable condition by road by NSW Ambulance to Sydney Children’s Hospital in Randwick. CareFlight’s doctor and intensive care paramedic accompanied the girl in the ambulance.
