A nine-year-old girl riding a bicycle in Colyton has been struck by a car.

The girl fell to the ground and suffered injuries to her leg.

CareFlight’s Rapid Response Helicopter was tasked by NSW Ambulance at 4:25pm and landed 15 minutes later in a park. NSW Police escorted the clinical team to the scene of the incident where NSW Ambulance paramedics were providing initial treatment.

CareFlight’s specialist doctor and NSW Ambulance critical care paramedic performed a clinical assessment on the girl, including an ultrasound to assess her injuries.

The girl was taken by road, with spinal precautions, by NSW Ambulance under ongoing observation from CareFlight’s clinical team to The Children’s Hospital at Westmead in a stable condition.
