The wonderful team at ASL (Australian Settlements Limited) have raised $100,000 for CareFlight over the last year. Yesterday, our rapid response helicopter crew were delighted to meet leaders from the company when they visited to make their incredibly generous donation.

This impressive CareFlight supporter’s fundraising activities included hosting the ASL Golf Day, supporting in CareFlight’s Gala Ball and staff arranging and taking part in the momentous Kokoda Trek Challenge.

The base visit was  a chance for ASL staff who took part in the Kokoda trek to renew friendships with the CareFlight team members they had joined in retracing the steps of our brave World War Two infantry.

David Jay, David Lawler, Allan McGregor, Paul Chilcott and Casey Mauger from ASL all joined Dr Chris Cheeseman and Trent Osborn from CareFlight in taking on the famously grueling Kokoda Trail.

Importantly, yesterday the team  took the opportunity to meet CareFlight’s front-line crew, learning how the funds contributed will help ensure the rapid response helicopter service continues to save lives.

Meanwhile at CareFlight, we are over the moon to announce the company are not resting there. The ASL Golf Day will be held in March, raising valuable funds to support CareFlight’s life-saving operations.

Thanks again ASL!
