A 35-year-old man has been flown to hospital in a stable condition after a motorcycle and car crash in Richmond this morning.

The man was turning at the intersection of Lennox and Pageant Streets when his motorcycle and a car collided, the motorbike eventually coming to a stop on the wrong side of the road, but without impact with oncoming traffic.

CareFlight’s rapid response rescue helicopter was tasked to the scene at 8.31am, landing at Richmond Oval.

Police were on hand to convey the critical care team a few hundred metres to the scene where NSW Ambulance paramedics were providing initial treatment.

CareFlight’s specialist doctor and critical care paramedic provided further treatment at the scene for injuries to the leg.

The man was flown to Westmead Hospital in a stable condition.
