A six-year-old boy has been transported to The Children’s Hospital at Westmead in a stable condition after a car collided with him in Blackett.

The boy was riding on his scooter when the collision occurred, and he sustained multiple abrasions to his body and a fractured leg.

CareFlight’s Rapid Response Helicopter was tasked at 10:23am and after ten minutes landed in Popondetta Park. NSW Police escorted CareFlight’s aeromedical team to the scene of the incident where paramedics were providing initial treatment.

CareFlight’s clinical team assessed the patient for his injuries and continued treatment as the boy was taken by road ambulance to The Children’s Hospital at Westmead in a stable condition.
