A three-year-old girl has been airlifted to hospital in a serious condition after she had a fall inside her Woy Woy residence and sustained head injuries.

CareFlight’s Rapid Response Helicopter was tasked at 12:18pm from the Westmead hangar and landed in Rogers Park, Woy Woy, less than 30 minutes later.

The patient was transported from the residence to the park where CareFlight’s specialist doctor intubated and placed the girl in an induced coma to stabilise her.

The CareFlight aeromedical team continued treatment as the girl was flown to The Children’s Hospital at Westmead in a serious but stable condition.
