CareFlight is delighted to announce strengthened ties with the Office of the Administrator of the Northern Territory around our shared goal to improve lives for Territorians and serve the community.

CareFlight yesterday welcomed the first visit from Her Honour the Honourable Vicki O’Halloran AM, Administrator of the Northern Territory, and Mr Craig O’Halloran as official Patrons.

Proud members of the local community, CareFlight operates the Top End Medical Retrieval Service on behalf of the Northern Territory Government.

The charity’s mission is to save lives, speed patient recovery and serve the community. Thanks to generous community support, our doctors and nurses are able to provide increasingly higher levels of medical care to Territorians, for example with the Rescue Helicopter and by training local emergency responders on the ground.

Her Honour the Administrator visited CareFlight’s Darwin base yesterday, meeting our doctors, nurses, air and ground crews before taking off aboard a CareFlight King Air on an official visit to Gäwa Homeland, Elcho Island.

CareFlight Chairperson Dr Andrew Refshauge said it was a great honour to welcome the Administrator of the Northern Territory as a Patron.

“With a long and distinguished career serving the community, Her Honour’s fierce determination to improve the lives of Territorians is a mission CareFlight is proud to share,” he said.

“We’re excited as this eminent patronage will not only help solidify our commitment to the people of the Northern Territory, it reinforces our joint focus to continue improving healthcare for years to come.”

Her Honour the Honourable Vicki O’Halloran, Administrator of the Northern Territory said she is pleased to have the opportunity to support such an important organisation which makes a difference to the lives of so many Territorians.

“CareFlight has operated for more than 10 years in the Territory, collaborating with a wide variety of health professionals, agencies and communities across the Top End to deliver improved health outcomes for Territorians”, she said.

“My husband Craig and I are honoured to accept patronage of CareFlight, and as Patrons we look forward to working closely with the organisation throughout my term as Administrator of the Northern Territory.”
