The CareFlight team were delighted to launch our partnership with VIVA Energy Australia at our Darwin hangar on Friday 17 June, 2022.
VIVA is CareFlight’s principal fuel supplier for our fleet of over 15 aircraft for many years.
VIVA’s $3 million commitment will support the Darwin-based CareFlight medical rescue helicopter to continue to fly to the rescue and deliver emergency health care and retrieval across the Top End of the NT.
The partnership will also support a range of measures to develop pathways to employment for First Nations and rural and remote young people.
In addition, it provides funds to develop appropriate resources to communicate effectively in-language the rights of CareFlight patients and seek their feedback to support culturally safe clinical care. It also provides the opportunity for small and medium Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander operated businesses operating remotely with assistance to develop Emergency Response Plans.
