Northern Territory Community Benefit Fund upskills CareFlight’s clinical teams
16/02/2021 – NewsThanks to the generosity of the Northern Territory Community Benefit Fund, CareFlight’s clinical teams in Gove, Northern Territory, have received high-fidelity medical equipment to boost their lifesaving medical skills.
The Fund has awarded $13,067 to CareFlight to purchase essential training equipment which are crucial to ensuring our medical professionals can practice medical techniques regularly. Included in the purchase were two training manikins which are used to practice the placement of defibrillation pads, CPR, trauma response, first aid, and IV administration.
Additionally, two iPads and a training ultrasound app were bought to train emergency medical providers, anaesthesia, paramedics, trauma teams, and other ultrasound users in their clinical work.
Through these hyper-realistic training tools, CareFlight’s educators can practice their skills in a simulated environment, better equipping them for real-life scenarios.
