Clinical Capabilities
CareFlight’s international medical evacuation jets are purpose‑equipped to transport a critical care nurse, an aeromedical doctor, and either one stretchered patient or one seated patient. Our teams routinely and safely transfer ventilated and life‑supported patients across long distances.
Our specialist clinicians—including emergency physicians, intensive care doctors, anaesthetists, and highly trained ICU and ED aviation nurses—work in complete coordination to deliver exceptional in‑flight medical care.
As a fully integrated aeromedical provider, CareFlight oversees every component of the retrieval process internally. This includes clinical staffing, specialist training, aircraft operations, and mission planning, ensuring our medical crews can be airborne and en route to patients with maximum speed and efficiency.
Aircraft
CareFlight’s Air Ambulance Fleet is built around a highly capable selection of advanced aircraft, purpose‑equipped to deliver rapid, reliable and world‑class aeromedical transport when it matters most.
Our international air ambulance fleet includes the Gulfstream G150, Beechjet Nextant 400—aircraft renowned for their performance, safety, and suitability for critical care missions. Each aircraft is configured to support specialised medical teams, advanced life‑support capabilities, and seamless patient care from take‑off to touchdown.
With this diverse and expertly equipped fleet, CareFlight ensures that every patient receives the highest level of aeromedical care, wherever they are in the world.
Commercial Medical Escort
CareFlight also provides medical escorts on scheduled long‑haul commercial flights for patients travelling to or from Indonesia when this is the most appropriate transport option, arranging specialist clinicians to accompany patients and their carers home or to another hospital. Our doctors and nurses have escorted patients across the region and internationally, including journeys from Indonesia to the USA, Europe and Asia, with additional clinical crew positioned at stopover points to ensure seamless continuity of care. Patients requiring life support are routinely and safely transported by our teams, and our experienced logistics coordinators are available 24/7 to answer questions and support every step of the medical escort process.
