Training & Education - CareFlight

Update regarding COVID-19 (Courses paused from 17 March 2020)

CareFlight’s mission is to save lives, speed recovery and serve the community. The Education team are passionate about helping to deliver that mission in all that we do.

Coronovirus (COVID-19) is presenting a threat to our community and to our healthcare workforce. Many hospitals, emergency services and businesses have cancelled all conferences, workshops and other forums where there will be in excess of 6-10 people (workplace dependent) in an attempt to limit the spread of COVID-19, and therefore the impact on the healthcare workforce.

We take our responsibility to our learners and to our community very seriously. It is with this sense of responsibility that we feel it is necessary to do our part to prevent the spread of COVID-19 and cancel our courses until later in the year when it is safe to resume group activities. This is a short-term emergency measure to serve our community and save lives by reducing the risk of spread of COVID-19. Our learners are usually health professionals and/or other emergency services personnel who will be needed to look after patients and the community. We, as CareFlight need to do the right thing and ensure they remain fit to do so. We thank you for your understanding. We will contact all people currently enrolled in the following courses in May to advise them of the cancellation. We will keep everyone updated about resumption of our courses and we will endeavour to offer alternative dates where possible.

Many thanks
