What is the purpose of this event?

This event celebrates the history of CareFlight’s remarkable helicopter service and the dedication of those who made it possible, from the CareFlight team and many valued partners through to all our generous supporters and the community we serve.

When and where is the event taking place?

The event will be held on Thursday 3, October 2024 at the CareFlight Hangar. Guided tours, live demonstrations, and educational sessions will be available strictly at specific allocated time slots.

How do I register for the event?

Spaces are very limited for this event so tickets will be given out via a ballot system. If you are interested in attending, please register for the ballot here.

How will I know if I have received tickets?

If you are successful in obtaining tickets in the ballot you will be emailed a link in order to register for the event.

Is there a cost to attend?

Attendance is free of charge, but tickets are limited and will be allocated via a ballot system.

What can I expect during the guided base tours?

The tours will offer a behind-the-scenes look at our operations and the AW139 NT Rescue Helicopter. You’ll see how our team works and learn about the technology and equipment used in our missions.

Will there be career information available?

Yes, each station at the event will feature information about career opportunities in aviation and at CareFlight. You’ll have the chance to speak with our pilots, clinical crews, and engineers.

Are there any live demonstrations?

Yes, there will be live demonstrations, including winch simulations and first-aid education sessions. These will provide close-up experiences and insights into our operational procedures.

What types of refreshments will be available?

Simple refreshments will be available to purchase.

Is there parking available at the event?

Yes, parking is available across the road from the event. Please follow the signs and directions provided. There is limited parking available, so we suggest sharing a ride or grabbing a lift!

Can I bring guests to the event?

No, only ticketholders will be allowed to attend due to space and capacity constraints.

What should I wear to the event?

Comfortable, casual attire is recommended. As some parts of the event will be in an operation workplace, you are REQUIRED to wear closed in footwear.

Is the event accessible to individuals with disabilities?

No, the event venue is not fully accessible to individuals with disabilities. Please let us know of any specific requirements in advance and we will try to make appropriate arrangements.
