A man, aged in his 50s, was working on his boat at the Manly Skiff Club when he fell approximately three metres on the slipway and sustained fractures to his arms and face.
The Mounties Care CareFlight Helicopter was tasked shortly after 12:00pm and landed 15 minutes later within the grounds of Manly Oval. They made their way to the scene of the incident where NSW Ambulance paramedics were providing initial treatment for the man.
CareFlight’s specialist doctor and NSW Ambulance critical care paramedic conducted a clinical assessment on the patient, including an ultrasound, administered pain relief and stabilised his injury.
CareFlight’s medical team provided ongoing observation for the man as he was taken by road with NSW Ambulance to Royal North Shore Hospital in a stable condition.
