A 43-year-old man has been treated at the scene and taken to hospital after being injured when the power saw he was working with kicked-back at a residence in Balgowlah Heights this morning.
CareFlight’s Rapid Response Helicopter was tasked by NSW Ambulance shortly before 10.00am from Westmead and landed shortly after in Tania Park, with Police then escorting the aeromedical crew to the scene where NSW Ambulance paramedics were providing initial treatment for the man.
CareFlight’s specialist doctor and NSW Ambulance critical care paramedic provided additional treatment for serious lacerations to the chest, before continuing to provide care to the patient in a road ambulance.
The man was taken by road to Royal North Shore Hospital in a serious but stable condition.
