Three adults and a young toddler have been injured in a car crash in Kemps Creek in Sydney’s west this afternoon.
Two vehicles were involved in the collision that occurred at the intersection of Mamre Road and Kerrs Road in Kemps Creek.
CareFlight’s Rapid Response Helicopter was tasked by NSW Ambulance at 2.05pm and landed in a property close to the scene of the incident.
CareFlight’s specialist doctors and NSW Ambulance critical care paramedic made their way to the scene where NSW Ambulance paramedics were providing initial treatment to the occupants of the cars. Fire and Rescue NSW were also on scene.
CareFlight’s specialist doctors performed a clinical assessment on the male driver of one car, aged in his 30s, who sustained suspected head and shoulder injuries. His female passenger, also aged in her 30s, was assessed and treated for pelvic injuries and possible spinal injuries. The third occupant of the vehicle, a two-year-old toddler was also examined, and a roadside ultrasound performed.
The female passenger and her young son were transported by road ambulance to Liverpool Hospital under the clinical supervision of CareFlight.
The female driver of the second vehicle self-extricated and was examined and treated for minor injuries.
