A man in his 40s has been flown by CareFlight to Royal North Shore Hospital with suspected spinal injuries after he was involved in a crash in Werrington late this afternoon.
The man was riding a motorbike when he collided with a car on Dunheved Road.
CareFlight’s Rapid Response Helicopter was tasked by NSW Ambulance at 4.45pm and landed on nearby Patterson Oval just minutes later. Fire and Rescue NSW and NSW Ambulance emergency personnel were already on scene.
CareFlight’s specialist doctor and NSW Ambulance critical care paramedic were taken by NSW police to the scene where they continued to assess the rider’s injuries and provide pain relief.
CareFlight’s clinical team continued providing care as the patient was taken by helicopter to Royal North Shore Hospital in a stable condition.
