A 3-year-old girl has been taken to hospital in stable condition after she was hit by a car in underground parking beneath the Macquarie University Hospital this afternoon.
CareFlight’s rapid response helicopter was tasked shortly after 1.00pm to the residential property, landing on grounds of the university near Christie Road.
Medical staff from the hospital were quickly on scene and provided initial treatment for the child. NSW Ambulance and Police crews also attended.
CareFlight’s specialist doctor and critical care paramedic assessed the patient and provided additional treatment for pain.
The emergency medical team continued observation as the girl was transported via road ambulance to the Children’s Hospital at Westmead Hospital in a stable condition.
