A 67-year-old man has been taken to hospital in a stable condition with head and lower back injuries sustained from falling through the ceiling of his garage in Epping earlier today.
CareFlight’s rapid response rescue helicopter was tasked to the area shortly before 1.30pm, landing just minutes later near the scene.
Ambulance paramedics provided initial treatment for the patient, who sustained head and lower back injuries from the three metre fall.
CareFlight’s critical care doctor and intensive care paramedic provided further treatment, before the patient was transported by road ambulance to Westmead Hospital.
Police crews also attended the scene.
