A 47-year-old man has been airlifted to Darwin after he suffered a medical emergency whilst working on an offshore tug and supply ship that was 300 kilometres of the coast of Darwin.
A 47-year-old-man has been airlifted to Darwin after he suffered a medical emergency whilst working on an offshore tug and supply ship that was 300 kilometres off the coast of Darwin.
CareFlight tasked the Top End Rescue Helicopter to the vessel just after 10am today.
CareFlight’s nurse was winched down to the ship to assess the man who was suffering severe abdominal pain.
The nurse provided initial treatment for the man before he was lifted into the helicopter and flown to Darwin.
The man has been transferred to Royal Darwin Hospital in a stable condition.
