A 56-year-old man was taken to hospital in a serious condition after falling through a roof at a residence in Carlingford this afternoon.
The man was knocked unconscious after falling through a carport roof about three metres onto concrete.
CareFlight’s rapid response rescue helicopter was calked to help shortly before 4pm, landing in North Rocks Park near the scene.
The helicopter dispatched CareFlight’s specialist doctor and critical care paramedic and Police rushed them to the patient.
Ambulance crews were on scene treating the man.
CareFlight’s medical crew sedated the man and intubated him to stabilise his breathing.
The medical crew continued treating the man as he was taken to hospital by road ambulance in a serious condition.
