A 14-year-old boy is in a stable condition after a skateboard accident in north-west Sydney early this evening.
The boy was reportedly unconscious after falling and hitting his head in the riverside suburb of Putney. He was not wearing a helmet.
CareFlight’s rapid response rescue helicopter was called to Waterview Street at 5.25pm, landing around 20 metres from the accident, next to the Ferry Terminal at Kissing Point.
CareFlight’s specialist doctor and intensive care paramedic intubated and stabilised the patient at the scene.
The medical crew accompanied the boy in a road ambulance, with a NSW Ambulance crew, to Westmead Children’s Hospital.
