A 15-year-old boy suffered a broken leg after falling 10 metres from a railway overpass in Sydney’s northern suburbs today.
The accident took place from a foot crossing beside the Meadowbank train station.
CareFlight’s rapid response helicopter was called to Meadowbank at 2.45pm, landing nearby at Meadowbank Park.
NSW Police met the helicopter and escorted CareFlight’s specialist emergency doctor and intensive care paramedic to the station.
The boy was treated initially at the scene for a fractured femur. The CareFlight medical crew then accompanied the patient with NSW Ambulance by road to hospital.
