A man aged in his 30s has sustained a serious neck injury while operating a power tool in Narraweena today.
A bystander applied pressure on the injury before NSW Ambulance paramedics arrived and continued life-saving treatment.
The Mounties Care CareFlight Helicopter was tasked to the scene and landed in Beacon Hill Reserve. NSW Police transported CareFlight’s specialist doctor and NSW Ambulance’s critical care paramedic to the patient.
CareFlight’s medical team conducted a full trauma assessment on the man and continued to stabilise his bleeding.
CareFlight’s medical team provided ongoing monitoring for the man as he was transported by road with NSW Ambulance in a stable condition to Royal North Shore Hospital.
