A boy was flown to hospital in a stable condition this afternoon after he was hit by a car while crossing the road on his way home from primary school.
The Mounties Care CareFlight Helicopter was tasked by NSW Ambulance shortly after 3.00pm and landed in James Brown Oval near the scene.
NSW Ambulance paramedics had stabilised the patient at the scene. The Ambulance team conveyed the patient to meet the landing helicopter and paramedics worked alongside CareFlight’s medical team to treat the patient.
CareFlight’s specialist doctor and NSW Ambulance critical care paramedic provided additional treatment to the patient for lower limb injuries at the oval.
The boy was flown to the Children’s Hospital at Westmead in a stable condition.
