On Wednesday, 15 January, shortly after 11am at the Mounties Care CareFlight Helicopter was tasked by NSW Ambulance to Mona Vale after a teenage boy was pulled from the surf unconscious.
On duty lifeguards performed CPR and the young male regained consciousness. With assistance from NSW Police, the CareFlight crew landed behind the Mona Vale Surf Club and upon arrival, CareFlight’s specialist doctor and NSW Ambulance paramedics provided treatment at the scene before the patient was flown to the Sydney Children’s Hospital, Randwick in a stable condition.
