An eight-year-old boy was lucky to escape with just cuts and bruises after he came off a quad bike in Holgate this afternoon.
It’s understood the quad bike overturned and rolled about 10 metres.
CareFlight’s rapid response helicopter landed at Pauls Oval in Holgate shortly after 1.40pm and NSW Ambulance paramedics brought the child to the helicopter.
The boy was conscious and stable when CareFlight’s medical crew treated him at the oval.
He was airlifted to Westmead Children’s Hospital in a stable condition.
