A 70-year-old woman sustained multiple injuries when she was struck by a vehicle in northern Sydney this morning.
The car was reportedly parking in a driveway, moving at low speed when it collided with the woman.
CareFlight’s rapid response rescue helicopter was called to Brookvale around 8:15am, landing on Brookvale Oval.
Police escorted CareFlight’s medical crew to the scene at Dale Street nearby, where the woman was being looked after by NSW Ambulance paramedics.
CareFlight’s specialist doctor and intensive care paramedic provided treatment for pelvic and lower limb injuries.
The team then accompanied the patient, in a serious but stable condition, by road ambulance to Royal North Shore Hospital.
