A 30-year-old man suffered suspected spinal injuries following a three car collision on Thistle Street, Ryde.
The man was trapped in his car before being freed by Fire and Rescue NSW.
The CareFlight helicopter landed at nearby Anderson Park on the Parramatta River and the CareFlight medical team rushed to the scene. They worked with paramedics from NSW Ambulance to stabilise the driver.
Once freed, the man was transported by road ambulance to Royal North Shore in a serious but stable condition. CareFlight’s doctor and paramedic continued to provide medical treatment en route.
