Pre-Hospital Trauma Course

This truly interdisciplinary course is aimed at doctors, nurses, paramedics, emergency response officers, firefighters and military personnel.

Delivered by a multidisciplinary faculty, the course arms participants with the requisite knowledge, skills and attitudes to enter the pre-hospital environment with confidence.

Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)

Over 12,000 people each year die from cardiac arrest in Australia. Of these, 95 percent die before ever reaching hospital because nobody around them feels capable of administering CPR.

As a Registered Training Organisation (RTO), CareFlight is doing its bit to improve survival rates by teaching CPR in the community.

CareFlight Aeromedical Retrieval Training (CART)

CareFlight Aeromedical Retrieval Training is a vital learning experience for all medical, nursing and paramedical personnel who are new to the aeromedical environment or are working towards a career in aeromedical retrieval.

CART provides an insight into what it takes to be able to work within this highly challenging but rewarding field of modern medicine.

Tactical & Hostile Response Emergency Access & Treatment (THREAT)

Would you know what to do if your mate went down beside you? There are three distinct phases within a tactical environment (direct threat, indirect threat and evacuation), and there are three preventable killers within the tactical environment (extremity haemorrhage, tension pneumothorax and airway obstruction).

A THREAT course will help you understand tactical situations and arm you with the skills to recognise and treat the preventable killers.
