A man, aged in his 40s, has sustained injuries to his head and chest after falling from the staircase of a Westmead home whilst working.
The Mounties Care CareFlight Helicopter was tasked shortly after 11:00am and landed minutes later in the grounds of Sydney Smith Park. CareFlight’s medical team made their way to the scene of the incident where NSW Ambulance paramedics were providing initial treatment.
CareFlight’s specialist doctor and NSW Ambulance critical care paramedic conducted a clinical assessment on the worker, which included an ultrasound, and administered pain relief.
CareFlight’s medical team provided ongoing observation for the man as he was taken by road with NSW Ambulance to Westmead Hospital in a stable condition.
