A woman in her 50s has been treated by CareFlight and taken to Westmead Hospital after she was injured in a car crash in Beecroft this morning.
CareFlight was tasked at 9.53am to attend the scene of a car crash in Beecroft, landing just 10 minutes later in nearby Roselea Park, joining NSW Ambulance paramedics already on the scene.
The female driver who was initially trapped in her car her was with her nine-year-old son when the cras occurred. Her son escaped with minor injuries and was taken to the Children’s Hospital at Westmead.
CareFlight’s specialist doctor and critical care paramedic met other emergency crews at the scene including NSW Fire and Rescue and NSW Police.
Once the team assessed the woman they gave her pain relief and initial treatment before loading her into a road ambulance. The woman was taken to Westmead Hospital under the clinical supervision of CareFlight. She was in a stable condition. The people in the other vehicle involved, sustained minor injuries.
