A 27-year-old man has been taken to hospital after he was knocked off his horse and injured during an equestrian event at the Royal Easter Show.
The man received initial medical treatment by the Royal Easter Show medical team and NSW Ambulance.
CareFlight’s rapid response helicopter was tasked and landed on a nearby football field, before being transported to the showgrounds by NSW Police.
CareFlight’s specialist doctor and critical care paramedic assessed the man, who had suffered injuries to his upper body.
Under the observation of CareFlight’s medical team, he was taken via road ambulance to Westmead Hospital in a stable condition.
