A 22-year-old woman has been flown to Royal Darwin Hospital after she was crushed by metal panels whilst working on a cattle station south-west of Darwin.
The young station hand was working in the cattle yard when she was knocked to the ground and suffered a hip injury.
CareFlight, operating the Top End Medical Retrieval Service on behalf of the Northern Territory Government, tasked the Top End Rescue Helicopter to the scene shortly after 3pm.
Workers at the station provided first-aid, before CareFlight’s doctor and nurse arrived and provided treatment for her hip injury. Adelaide River clinic also attended.
The patient was airlifted to Royal Darwin Hospital in a stable condition just after 5pm.
