An 11-year-old and 2-year-old boy have been taken to hospital, both in a stable condition, after being hit by a car in Prospect this afternoon.
It’s understood the older boy was carrying the infant when they were struck by a vehicle while crossing a road.
CareFlight’s rapid response rescue helicopter was tasked to help shortly before 4.00pm, landing in a nearby park.
Ambulance paramedics were on scene providing initial treatment. CareFlight’s specialist doctor and critical care paramedic provided further assessment and treatment on scene.
The CareFlight medical crew continued treating the boy as they were taken to hospital by road.
