A 58 year old man was airlifted to hospital in a critical condition after being burnt in a house fire in western Sydney this morning.
The man was pulled from the burning home in Jamison Road, South Penrith, by NSW Fire and Rescue crews who commenced CPR until NSW Ambulance paramedics arrived.
CareFlight’s rapid response rescue helicopter landed in nearby Jamison Park just after 9am where they met a NSW Ambulance with the patient.
The specialist medical team sedated and intubated the man before transferring him to the helicopter and flying him to the specialist burns unit at Royal North Shore Hospital.
