A man in his 60s severed his hand while using an angle grinder in Warilla this morning.
It’s understood the man was carrying out some work at his home when he damaged his hand with the power tool at about 10.30am.
CareFlight’s rapid response helicopter landed at a park close to the scene where NSW Ambulance were also present.
The specialist doctor and intensive care paramedic treated the injured man at the scene before airlifting him to St George Hospital in a stable condition.
