On Sunday, 18 January shortly after 4.30pm, the Mounties Care CareFlight Helicopter was tasked by NSW Ambulance to Vaucluse after a boy was critically injured when attacked by a shark.
CareFlight’s specialist doctor and NSW Ambulance paramedics provided critical care treatment for the boy at the scene for critical injuries to his legs.
The patient was taken by road ambulance under ongoing treatment from the specialist medical team to Sydney Children’s Hospital, Randwick in a critical condition.
