A young boy has been taken to Westmead Children’s Hospital after he was knocked unconscious on a jumping castle at an event in St Ives earlier today.
It’s understood the eight-year-old boy hit his head on another child’s and momentarily lost consciousness shortly before 4.30pm.
CareFlight’s rapid response helicopter was tasked, landing on the oval where the event was being held.
CareFlight’s specialist doctor and critical care paramedic provided support to NSW Ambulance paramedics who were providing initial care for the child.
The CareFlight critical care team provided treatment for the patient’s neck and facial injuries.
The boy was airlifted to the Children’s Hospital at Westmead in a stable condition.
NSW Police also attended.
