About 1pm, on Sunday 25 February, the Mounties Care CareFlight Helicopter was tasked by NSW Ambulance to assist a boy aged under 10 who had been struck by a vehicle on a residential street in Gormans Hill.
NSW Ambulance paramedics treated the patient at the scene before transporting him to meet the helicopter at Bathurst Airport.
CareFlight’s specialist doctor and NSW Ambulance paramedics treated the patient for injuries to the chest and head before he was flown to the Children’s Hospital at Westmead in a stable condition.
