On Monday 6 May, the Mounties Care CareFlight Helicopter was tasked by NSW Ambulance to three separate car crashes, all of which involved the patients becoming trapped in their vehicle and requiring extrication by Fire and Rescue NSW.

At around 11am a woman in her 70s was treated after becoming trapped in a vehicle following a crash with a truck on the Great Western Highway near the M7 interchange. The patient was transported by road to Westmead Hospital in a stable condition, accompanied by the CareFlight specialist doctor.
At about 3pm a man in his 50s was treated after becoming trapped in a vehicle following a head on collision on Annangrove Road, Rouse Hill. The patient was transported by road to Westmead Hospital in a stable condition, accompanied by the CareFlight specialist doctor.
At around 4:30pm a woman in her 20s became trapped in her vehicle following a head on collision with a bus on Carters Road, Dural. The patient was transported by road to Westmead Hospital in a stable condition, accompanied by the CareFlight specialist doctor.
