On Tuesday, 7 January, shortly after 12pm the Mounties Care CareFlight Helicopter was tasked by NSW Ambulance after two cars were involved in a head-on collision with four people injured on Wisemans Ferry Road, Cattai.
CareFlight’s specialist doctor and NSW Ambulance paramedics provided care to a young girl for head injuries. The patient was taken by road ambulance escorted by CareFlight’s doctor to the Children’s Hospital at Westmead in a stable condition.
NSW Ambulance crews transported another two female adults, who were drivers of the separate vehicles, and another female child. All were taken by road ambulance to hospital in a stable condition.
