A man in his 30s has been airlifted to hospital with serious injuries after the truck he was driving rolled on the M7 southbound this afternoon.
CareFlight’s rapid response helicopter landed briefly on the M7 at Hinchinbrook at about 12.15pm to drop off the medical crew and was then repositioned nearby.
The driver of the truck was trapped for about 45 minutes while NSW Fire and Rescue, NSW Police, NSW Ambulance and CareFlight all worked to free him.
The patient suffered suspected pelvic and spinal injuries. CareFlight’s medical crew assessed and treated him on scene before airlifting him to Royal North Shore Hospital in a serious but stable condition.
