A 32-year-old man has sustained head, chest and abdominal injuries after his car was involved in a collision with another vehicle at the intersection of James Ruse Drive and Victoria Road, Parramatta.
CareFlight’s Rapid Response Helicopter was tasked shortly before 6:00pm and landed minutes later in Collett Park from where the aeromedical team made their way to the scene of the incident.
NSW Ambulance paramedics were providing initial treatment and NSW Fire and Rescue crews were working to extricate the man from his vehicle. CareFlight’s clinical team assessed the patient and stabilised him at the scene of the incident.
The man was then transported by road ambulance in a serious but stable condition to Westmead Hospital under the ongoing care of CareFlight’s aeromedical crew.
