A 23-year-old man has been seriously injured while using power tools to work on a boat at a residence in the Central Coast this morning.
It is understood that the man lost consciousness while working inside the boat in today’s hot conditions and fell on an angle grinder.
CareFlight’s Rapid Response Helicopter was tasked shortly before midday and landed in Alan Davidson Oval. NSW Ambulance paramedics provided initial treatment to the man at the scene, in front of a Narara residence, and transported him to the oval.
CareFlight’s specialist doctor and critical care paramedic provided additional treatment for the lacerations to the man’s arm and groin, and significant blood loss.
The man was transported to Royal North Shore Hospital in a stable condition by the CareFlight helicopter.
NSW Police also attended the incident.
