A 62-year-old woman has been transported to hospital in a critical condition after a collision between her motorcycle and a truck in Brooklyn this morning.
She sustained fractures to her lower and upper limbs, internal bleeding and a head injury.
CareFlight’s Rapid Response Helicopter was tasked shortly after 9:00AM and landed on the Pacific Highway near the incident. NSW Ambulance were already on scene providing initial treatment. CareFlight’s specialist doctor and critical care paramedic provided additional medical assistance, performing a blood and plasma transfusion roadside.
The patient was transported to Royal North Shore Hospital by road ambulance with CareFlight’s doctor and paramedic in a critical condition.
NSW Police was also at the scene of the accident.
