The CareFlight medical team flew to Shalvey this afternoon, where a 14-year-old boy was injured during a rugby game.
CareFlight’s rapid response helicopter landed at the grounds in Shalvey shortly after 1pm. NSW Ambulance and NSW Police were also on scene.
The medical crew assessed the teenager, who had sustained spinal injuries, at the scene. He was then transported by road, by NSW Ambulance, to Westmead Children’s Hospital in a stable condition.
