A 46-year-old female has been flown to hospital after she fell and injured her arm at Gunlom Falls in Kakadu National Park.
The interstate tourist was on a walking tour when she fell and sustained the injury.
CareFlight, operating the Top End Medical Retrieval Service on behalf of the Northern Territory government, tasked the Top End Rescue Helicopter to the scene and landed at the top of the falls.
A doctor on the tour provided initial care, before CareFlight’s flight nurse and doctor arrived and provided treatment.
The woman was airlifted to Royal Darwin Hospital in a stable condition.
Park rangers also assisted with the rescue.
