A 56-year-old woman suffered chest and hip injuries when a horse landed on her after she had fallen while riding near Richmond this morning.
CareFlight’s rapid response rescue helicopter was tasked to Kurrajong around 11am, landing in a paddock near the incident off Kurrajong Road.
The specialist emergency doctor and intensive care paramedic assessed the woman at the scene before she was airlifted to Westmead Hospital in a stable condition.
